Unless We Act Now, Oklahoma Will Execute An
Richard Glossip has been on death row in Oklahoma for 26 years for a murder he didn’t commit. In 1997, Justin Sneed killed Barry Van Treese. Sneed admitted to the murder but, to save himself from death row, he accused Glossip of orchestrating a murder for hire plot. The only evidence against Glossip was the allegation of the admitted killer.
Meanwhile, multiple recent independent investigations found Glossip didn’t receive a fair trial. And Oklahoma’s pro-death penalty Republican Attorney General and 62 state legislators agree Glossip shouldn’t be executed.
Today, the admitted killer, Justin Sneed sits in a medium security prison while Glossip could be executed soon.
